Historic sites
Hasankeyf
Hasankeyf, on the Tigris, has thousands of years of history. The old town was flooded by the Ilısu Dam in 2020; some monuments, such as the Zeynel Bey Tomb, were moved to the Culture Park in New Hasankeyf.
Zeynel Bey Tomb
The tomb of Zeynel Bey, son of the Akkoyunlu ruler Uzun Hasan (died 1473), was moved in 2017 to the Hasankeyf culture park before the Ilısu dam flooded the old town.
